Day 1 of N

There comes a point in everyone’s lives when we become self-aware but still struggle to find a sense of purpose. On my end, I’d say I’m somewhat in that period, even though others say I’ve got things figured out. Before going further, what prompted me to write this was an assignment we had to gain a course certificate from the University of California, Berkeley. Quite prestigious, right? However, this is simply a Massive Open Online Course, which others might view as a measly achievement. For me, though, it is the beginning of a commitment to keep on learning and to grow as an individual.

This, being my first journal entry, gave me a sense of freedom in expressing my feelings toward things from the most mundane to the exciting parts of my life. Interestingly, I have always been fascinated by how the royal families kept their diaries during their reign, Egyptians created hieroglyphics, as well as scientists and artists kept notes of their progress and experiences. Not only did these methods prove invaluable in their respective fields, but they also provided significant historical accounts deemed crucial in fact-finding. Somehow, these accounts also showed us a glimpse of what they’ve been through, not just the success and prowess we have known them for.

While I have no interest in being a well-known writer, hence the anonymity, I look forward to sharing things that matter to me through this website. In a world where micro-content catches the attention of the majority of the population, I am setting foot on a more laid-back approach in the form of article writing. As unconventional as it may seem, I felt fortunate to have my platform, a voice I can call my own, and a fulfilling journey ahead of me. In the coming months, I hope to find more like-minded people who would be interested in sharing their stories, reading about topics that I purposely included here, and bringing more positive and productive pieces amidst the chaos of our daily lives.
